Retro International Film Festival is an international film festival dedicated to visual memory, audiovisual archives, and intergenerational dialogue. The festival invites audiences to look at the past through the eyes of the present, transforming archival images into spaces for reflection, conversation, and contemporary creativity. Held in some of Tirana’s most iconic venues, including Agimi Cinema and Pyramid Cinema, the festival features retrospective screenings, panel discussions, meetings with filmmakers, historians, and researchers, as well as active public participation through personal archival contributions. By bringing together institutional and personal archives, Retro International Film Festival builds bridges between generations and reimagines memory as a shared cultural experience.
